BaT Auction: 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S

This 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S coupe is a US-spec example finished in Midnight Blue Metallic over gray leather and equipped with a 3.6-liter flat-six sending power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle. Factory options include cruise control, a sunroof, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support. The car spent time in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Quebec before its recent acquisition by the selling dealer. The valve cover gaskets, timing chain cover and housing, crank seal, front sway bar bushings, rear brake discs, and other items were reportedly replaced in December 2018. The air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six was rated at 282 horsepower when new, and sends power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle and viscous coupling transfer case. A December 2018 service at EK Performance in Montreal, Quebec reportedly totalling $5k included resealing the gearbox housing as well as replacing the valve cover gaskets, timing chain covers and housing, and crank seal.
